Nick Adams (UK, age ~40): A regular Chamberlain driver, Adams was a key figure in their C2 success, competing at Le Mans multiple times (e.g., 1989, 1990). He also drove the No. 27 in 1991, splitting duties, which was unusual but reflected Chamberlain’s driver management.
-
Robin Donovan (UK, age 36): A seasoned endurance racer with Le Mans experience since 1985, Donovan had driven Spices and Tigas in C2, including a 1989 Le Mans entry with Adams. His reliability was crucial for privateer teams.

Richard Jones (UK, age ~35): A lesser-known driver with limited Le Mans exposure, Jones was likely a pay-driver supporting Chamberlain’s effort. His experience was primarily in British club racing, making Le Mans a significant challenge.
Chamberlain Engineering
Chamberlain Engineering, founded by Hugh Chamberlain, was a British privateer team and Spice’s semi-official squad in 1991 after Spice Engineering’s financial struggles led to its sale to Jean-Louis Ricci in 1990. Chamberlain dominated the C2 class, winning the FIA Cup in 1991 with the SE89C, including five class victories in five World Sportscar Championship races. The No. 45 was one of two Chamberlain entries at Le Mans, alongside the No. 27 (Andy Petery/Nick Adams/Hervé Regout), which also retired.
